LifeLabs Unveils Self-Collection Hormone Health Kits

Toronto, Ontario. October 27, 2023 – LifeLabs, a leading provider of laboratory diagnostic services, is thrilled to introduce our latest offering: self-collection Hormone Health kits. This exciting addition to our wellness assessment toolkit is set to enhance hormone testing for both healthcare providers and their patients in Canada. Kits are available across the country, excluding British Columbia. Hormone Health kits will be made available in B.C. beginning in early 2024.

Hormone Health kits enable collections for saliva hormone testing, a high-quality tool for patient assessment to uncover underlying functional hormone excesses, deficiencies, or imbalances. Interactions between cortisol, DHEAS, estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone, along with melatonin levels, are fundamental to health—which is why LifeLabs is providing a variety of options for testing including assessment of both individual hormones and panels. A single collection kit enables a flexible option for both patients and practitioners when ordering. The method is reliable, non-invasive, and convenient.

LifeLabs collection kits enable patients to conveniently collect samples in the comfort of their homes and send them to LifeLabs for testing. At-home sample collection offers a proactive, private, and flexible service channel, allowing Canadians to make informed decisions for better health outcomes.

“We’re thrilled to introduce Hormone Health kits for healthcare providers and their patients,” says Lawrence Mahan, Senior Vice President of Business and Consumer Markets at LifeLabs. “We believe that better health outcomes begin with informed decisions and these kits will help achieve that goal.”

One of the key highlights of this launch is LifeLabs’ proud partnership with a Canadian company, Keel Lab Services (part of Keel Digital), which ensures that all hormone health testing remains within the borders of Canada, supporting the country’s healthcare ecosystem.

“Keel Lab Services is proud to partner with LifeLabs and its launch of Hormone Health kits,” says Daniel Libertucci, Chief Scientific Officer at Keel Laboratory Services. “Together we can improve patient outcomes by providing the analytical data critical to forming pathways towards better health.”

Additional information about the kits is available on rmalab.com.
