They gave, we matched, and together, we made a major impact in our communities

LifeLabs is incredibly proud of the impact our employees caring has in our communities. They gave, we matched, and together, we supported 117 charity and non-profit organizations and donated over $120,000 in the last year through our Employee Giving Program.

As another year draws to an end, we’d like to take some time to acknowledge the outstanding contributions that the LifeLabs team has made through donations, volunteering, and fundraising efforts.

At LifeLabs, we are proud to offer an Employee Giving Program to match the giving efforts of our employees. Over the past year, we have worked together to raise over $120,000 in support of 117 registered Canadian charity or non-profit organizations.

“This was my first year fundraising for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and I wasn’t confident that I would be able to meet the fundraising goal of $350,” says Olga Goldberg, a Laboratory Assistant at LifeLabs. “I am an immigrant and I have no extended family in Canada, but my team helped me out enormously and in the end, I donated more than $1500 – this was four times my fundraising goal! I’m so grateful to everyone who helped me.”

Almost 150 employees across every department in LifeLabs participated, providing donations and volunteer hours to support the causes they care about, including the environment, healthcare, youth organizations, social services, animal welfare, and more.

“I would like to convey my sincere thanks to LifeLabs for running the Employee Giving Program that encourages the employees to be involved in selfless activities within their community,” says Jogesh Dhir, a Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist. “You can donate to the groups that you feel most passionately about, knowing that you have the support of LifeLabs to match your donation.”

Our employees also spent 1,731 of their own hours volunteering in their communities.

“Donating my time has offered me a sense of contentment with helping animals in need,” says Katarina Harris, a Compensation Consultant. “I have come to believe that if each one of us dedicates a small portion of our time to one thing that is truly near and dear to us, the world would be such a better place!
