How it works?
Frequently Asked Questions
MyVisit is a convenient way for you to have your blood and other medical samples collected at a location of your choice, at a time that’s convenient for you. With MyVisit, a specially-trained LifeLabs technician will come to your home or workplace and collect your laboratory sample. The tests on your samples will be performed at our specialty lab and the results will be sent to your doctor. You may also be able to view your results online using Lifelabs’ free results portal, by creating an MyResults account.
Our technicians all wear required personal protective equipment and are trained on best practices, adhering to health protocols to ensure both your and their safety. Prior to visiting your home, employees disinfect testing bags, disinfect the inside of the vehicles, and change personal protective equipment after every patient’s home is visited.
We are currently offering blood and other specimen collection, and ECG and Holter services as part of our MyVisit™ service. There are some exceptions to the kinds of collections we can do, so please send us if your requisition and our program coordinator will be happy to provide you with more information.
You can choose the date and time of your appointment for a $80 per person fee.
If you require a home service for medical reasons and your healthcare provider has faxed in your requisition (along with a note requesting your visit) you can receive a subsidized home visit for a fee. To learn more click here.
Sometimes, schedules can change unexpectedly.
Patients who cancel their appointments 24 hours before their appointment window will not be charged – we are more than happy to reschedule the appointment for a better time.
Patients who miss their scheduled MyVisit™ appointment, however, will be billed $30.
A technician will contact you within 7-10 days of receiving your requisition to let you know what time your appointment will be happening the next day.
If it has been more than 10 days, you can call our coordinators at 416-603-2446. We are currently experiencing higher than normal call volumes and responses to voicemails may be delayed.
