LifeLabs Stands in Solidarity with Iranians

Toronto, Ontario, September 28, 2022 – At LifeLabs, we stand in solidarity with Iranians and their right to equality, freedom of choice and the right to live their lives without suppression and fear.

In the wake of this horrific and unjust death of a young woman in police custody, it is our responsibility to bear witness and condemn these atrocities against the people of Iran.

At LifeLabs, our values are built on the ideals of diversity and inclusivity, and we challenge ourselves to act with courage and integrity to foster an environment where everyone can be their true selves. The mandate of our LifeLabs Stronger Together program is to ensure our team members, patients and communities feel safe and supported, to care for one another and recognize and respect each of our unique qualities, dimensions and characteristics.

Many of our LifeLabs team members are of an Iranian background, or family and friends in Iran who they are currently unable to contact. We are listening and providing support to all of our team members affected by these events.

When we witness oppression and injustice, it is our duty to care for each other, unite behind our values, and join in building awareness. LifeLabs urges our employees, patients and community partners in joining us continuing to raise awareness on social media. Say her name: #Mahsa_Amini #Mahsaamini #WomenLifeFreedom
