LifeLabs celebrates opening of expanded Gardiner Park location

On September 13, LifeLabs celebrated the expansion and re-opening the Gardiner Park Collection Centre by hosting a ribbon-cutting with the Regina Gardiner Park MLA, Hon. Gene Makowsky, patients, employees, and community members.

“We’re proud to support the residents of Gardiner Park,” said Thomas Marshall, Director of Government Relations at LifeLabs. “The growing population brings a greater need for health care services and resources; we are pleased to work towards making these services more accessible and efficient.”

Located at 372 University Park Drive, the LifeLabs collection site is double the size to better support Regina’s growing population featuring additional stations for blood collection to minimize wait times, a more spacious waiting room area and improved accessibility.

“I congratulate LifeLabs on their newly expanded Gardiner Park location,” Health Minister Jim Reiter said. “This will help improve patients’ access to high-quality, timely health care, better serving the needs of Regina’s growing population.”

The location also features the Save My Spot app, in addition to online appointment booking, that allows patients to check-in before they arrive at the location. Once they save their spot, they can wait where they want and head to the LifeLabs location when it’s almost their turn. This service is available from the Save My Spot app or at

“The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is pleased with the expansion of the LifeLabs Gardiner Park Collection Center to help meet and improve access and service for the patients of Regina who require laboratory specimen collections and electrocardiograms,” added Lenore Howey, Executive Director for Pathology and Laboratory Services for the SHA. “The facility is designed around a working environment for staff to deliver a truly patient-first experience.”

The collection centre also offers cardiology testing (electrocardiograms) and staff are trained to use specialty developed protocols to serve patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
