- By appointment, and ONLY available at the FlyClearTM by Lifelabs® locations listed below
- FlyClear™ COVID testing appointment can only be booked at locations listed below. You can NOT visit a medical clinic for FlyClear™ COVID testing.

Determine which COVID-19 testing you need
Depending on your travel destination, you may be required to get COVID-19 testing. Requirements vary from country to country, so you are encouraged to check requirements for flight clearance before ordering a FlyClear™ test.
Order your COVID-19 testing online
To get started, sign-up or log-in to our FlyClear™ Portal and create a new “Pre-Departure Test” order. Follow the instructions, input your testing information, and complete your payment online. You will need to repeat this process for each traveler.
NOTE: Information must be entered EXACTLY as it appears in your travel documents. If the information is incorrect, the traveler accepts the risk of travel or destination authorities rejecting your documentation and/or denying your entry.
Book your appointment for a COVID-19 PCR test at one of the participating FlyClear™ locations using the map above.
NOTE: FlyClear™ locations REQUIRE appointments. You MUST bring the printed requisition(s) and valid ID (passport) to your scheduled appointment(s) for each traveler. FlyClear™ staff will not complete your testing without a printed requisition and valid ID.
Receive your test results
Once your test results are available, an email notification will be sent to the address associated with your account. Log-in to the FlyClear™ portal and select the ordered test to view your result(s) and download as a PDF. Refer to the “Results” section below to understand what results/letters will be available to you based on the testing ordered and your travel destination.
Some destinations specify a window of time between getting tested for COVID-19 and your flight, for example, “within 1 calendar day of departing” or “within 72 hours of arrival”.
Please check with your airline and travel destination to ensure you fully understand your pre-departure testing requirements
The customer accepts the risk of any delays in any travel plan, reservation, or deposit. Please ensure you understand the policies of your travel services (airline, hotel, etc.) for cancellation or rebooking.
LifeLabs® will provide a refund if LifeLabs® is unable to deliver your test result within 48 hours after your sample collection, or if the test result is ‘invalid’ or ‘indeterminate’.
The COVID-19 PCR test is a nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT) which tests for active COVID-19 infection at the time of testing. The test uses a sample collected from a buccal bilateral anterior nasal swab. The swab first goes between the lower gums and is rotated 3 times on both sides of the mouth. It then goes 1-1.5cm into the nasal cavity where staff will swirl the swab for 15 seconds before performing the same procedure in the second nasal cavity.
Refunds for PCR/NAAT tests will be provided up until the time of sample collection. In addition, a refund will be issued if LifeLabs® is unable to deliver your test result within 48 hours after your sample collection, or if the test result is ‘invalid’ or ‘indeterminate’.
To request a refund simply log on the FlyClear™ portal, view the details of the order and select “Request Refund”. Refunds will be issued to the credit card originally used and may take up to 4-6 weeks to process.

NOTE: COVID-19 PCR/NAAT testing at FlyClear™ locations is by appointment ONLY and available ONLY at the locations specified on this webpage. You cannot visit a medical clinic for FlyClear™ testing.
Testing from home: MyVisit™ mobile services by LifeLabs® offers FlyClear™ COVID-19 testing in the comfort of your home. The MyVisit™ service is available in the Greater Toronto Area and costs an additional $80 per person.
Booking a MyVisit appointment
First, order your FlyClear™ test and save your test requisition. Then, visit to book your in-home appointment or, if your flight is within the next five days, please contact a MyVisit™ coordinator (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm EST) at 416-993-9579.
You will receive a doctor’s letter and lab results with your FlyClear™ COVID-19 test:
The doctor’s letter will include:
- Date of issue
- Date of sample collection
- Name on passport
- Date of birth
- Passport number
The lab results will include:
- Testing methodology used
- Date and time of sample collection
- Date and time of report
- Name on passport
- Date of birth
- Phone number
In the event of a positive result, you will be contacted by the healthcare provider named on your requistion.
The customer accepts the risk of any delays in any travel plan, reservation or deposit. LifeLabs will not be responsible or provide refunds for impact to travel plans due to a positive result. Positive test result information is also shared with appropriate public health authorities.
While rare, invalid/indeterminate results may occur. Normally, in these cases we ask customers to provide another sample for re-testing. If you are able to re-schedule your travel to a later date, re-testing may be right for you. There is no charge for a re-test following an invalid / indeterminate result. Unfortunately, due to the time-sensitive nature of FlyClear™ testing, if you receive an invalid result, and are unable to re-schedule your travel, you will be entitled to a full refund of the amount which you paid for the test. Only the healthcare provider named on your requisition and yourself will have access to your test results. If you receive a positive result, LifeLabs is required to provide your information and result to the appropriate Public Health unit. While much of our testing is performed within BC and Ontario, in certain circumstances, LifeLabs does work with reference laboratories in the US to perform some COVID testing services. When we do so, LifeLabs ensures that the laboratories comply with privacy requirements that are at least as stringent as the requirements with which LifeLabs complies. These requirements apply when the laboratory collects, uses or discloses personal information or personal health information and include administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect such information, and requirements on training and breach notification. Further, LifeLabs enters into a contract with the reference laboratory that includes requirements such as compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements and all applicable laboratory accreditation requirements.
