LifeLabs introduces new features to MyCareCompass to offer patients an enhanced online experience in booking appointments and managing their health information

February 6 2024
Serving over 7 million Canadians nationwide, the platform serves to support patients and their health care providers in making informed decisions about their health with an array of digital tools and solutions.

We’re pleased to share with you several improvements to our online health portal, MyCareCompass. Serving over 7 million Canadians nationwide, the platform serves to support patients and their health care providers in making informed decisions about their health with an array of digital tools and solutions.

Faster and easier appointment booking

Our new modernized appointment booking system allows MyCareCompass users to book an appointment at any LifeLabs collection centre in just a few clicks. Users can search for a location, filter by their preferences, and choose a date and time that works best for them. Plus, our updated email notifications will ensure appointments can be managed with ease if there’s ever a need to cancel or reschedule.

New Lab Visit Number (LVN) recovery tool

When a patient visits one of our collection centres, they’re provided with a Lab Visit Number (LVN) after their samples are collected. This number will allow them to register with MyCareCompass (if they are not a user already) and access their lab test results in real time when they’re available, without having to wait to be contacted by a physician. If at any time a patient loses their LVN, they can take advantage of our new self-serve capabilities in MyCareCompass to recover the number and access their lab results.

Adding a family member to an existing account

We’ve introduced new capabilities to allow MyCareCompass users to register their family member(s)/dependents directly from the main dashboard. By registering family members/dependents, account owners will be able to view lab results and book appointments on the family member’s behalf—a great feature for caregivers.

Including new health education resources

We have partnered with IMD Health, the largest digital health education platform in Canada, to provide MyCareCompass users with high quality health education resources and materials to offer more insight on the purpose, process, and results of many laboratory tests. To access these resources, MyCareCompass users can simply log into their account, visit the Analytics page, and click on the links available through the Lab Test Information column.

If you have any questions about these new features, please contact our customer care line at 1-877-849-3637.

Thank you,

LifeLabs
