How To Order

Serum Allergy Testing

You are just four steps away from getting a Serum Allergy Test:

1

Download your requisition from the LifeLabs website

2

Have your healthcare provider complete and sign the requisition

3

Pay for your test at our patient service centre and have your sample collected by a LifeLabs professional

4

Get your results

Step 2

Have your healthcare provider complete and sign the requisition

Print and bring the requisition form you received in the order email to your healthcare provider for signing. Requisitions not signed by a healthcare provider will not be processed and our staff will not be able to collect the sample(s).

Step 3

Pay for your test at our patient service centre and have your sample collected by a LifeLabs professional

You can visit any LifeLabs Patient Service Centre to have your sample collected. For your convenience and to reduce wait times we recommend booking an appointment. You must bring the same requisition you downloaded and printed from the order confirmation and had signed by your healthcare provider to LifeLabs in order for us to process your test.

Ontario residents pay for select allergy tests at the time of collection. Serum Allergen testing could be covered under some private health care insurance plans. Please check with your insurance provider before paying.

Residents of BC are advised that serum allergen testing is covered under the MSP program for symptomatic patients, under specific conditions. Please consult your BC health care provider in order to access Serum Allergen testing.

Please note that an allergen interpretation fee of $16 in ON and $15 in BC will be charged for every order. This amount will be added to your total when you pay for your test at the patient service centre.

Step 4

Get your results

Your test results will be sent directly to your healthcare provider. Most test results will be reported to your physician/healthcare provider within 2-3 business days of sample collection.
