RESUMPTION OF 24-HOUR URINE OXALATE TESTING IN BC

April 11 2024
LifeLabs has received a new shipment of the urine oxalate reagent and will be resuming 24-Hour Urine Oxalate Testing service in B.C. starting April 16.

Dear Health Care Providers,

We are pleased to share that LifeLabs has received a new shipment of the urine oxalate reagent and will be resuming 24-Hour Urine Oxalate Testing service in B.C. starting April 16.

Urine oxalate testing is indicated for risk stratification for kidney stone formation, to monitor therapy for kidney stones, and to diagnose primary or secondary hyperoxaluria.

Last fall we had to temporarily suspend this test due to a global supply shortage for the reagent used for oxalate measurement.

We look forward to supporting you and your patients by resuming this testing service.

If you have any questions, please contact LifeLabs’ Customer Support Centre at 1-800-431-7206.

Thank you.
