We’re pleased to share that LifeLabs has reintroduced its H. pylori Urea Breath test to its roster of tests for supporting gastrointestinal health.
Until recently, COVID-19 safety protocols prevented the use of breath tests. However, we have now reached a point where LifeLabs can safely reintroduce this test which was paused during the pandemic.
Before ordering this test, please ensure the patient is not allergic to citric acid and that they can meet the fasting criteria: patients must not eat or smoke 4 hours before the test, and they cannot have any fluids for one hour prior to the test. In addition, we can only complete this test on patients 6-years of age and older.
Please note the H. pylori Urea Breath test is MSP covered in British Columbia, and it is also available for private pay patients.
