As Chief Operating Officer, Jennifer is accountable for all areas of operations including lab operations, client services, supply chain, employee health and safety and environmental sustainability, logistics and specimen management, medical science and quality management, agile transformation, and business continuity.
Most recently, Jennifer held the role of Senior Vice President, British Columbia where she held the responsibility of ensuring strong relationships with leaders in the B.C. healthcare sector, government, and business community in order to drive business development and growth within the province for LifeLabs.
Prior to her role as Senior Vice-President, British Columbia, Jennifer was the President of Excelleris Technologies Inc., a health technology company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of LifeLabs. Jennifer led one of the most connected Health Information Exchange platforms in the country, serving over 5 million customers, 30,000 health care providers as well as hospitals and hospital networks.
Jennifer brings to LifeLabs her many years of health care expertise, and an extensive understanding of LifeLabs as a whole. Before joining LifeLabs, Jennifer held the position as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of BC Biomedical where she led the successful sale of the organization to LifeLabs in 2013. Jennifer’s breadth of senior level knowledge, including finance, strategy, human resources, technology and government relations has gained her invaluable insights into LifeLabs’ people, clients, and operations.
In 2021, Jennifer was recognized as a top leader in the Biotech and Life Sciences category by the Business in Vancouver (BIV) BC 500 list which recognizes the 500 most influential business leaders in British Columbia.
Jennifer holds a CPA, CGA designation and has earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and finance from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. In 2022, she received a Distinguished Service Award from the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC) for her significant contributions as a volunteer. Jennifer uses her skillset to give back to her community and has served on a number of community boards currently including RainCity Housing and Support Society which provides programs and services to those living with mental health, addictions and other challenges and LifeSciences British Columbia.
