Dr. Ostrowska joined LifeLabs as a medical microbiologist specializing in infectious diseases. In her role she consults on test results and clinical management, reviews lab procedures and protocols, reviews hospital antibiograms and participates in the validation of new tests and technologies. In addition to her position with LifeLabs, Dr. Ostrowska maintains an inpatient and outpatient clinical practice at Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga Hospital, where she consults on patients with various infections and infectious complications.

Dr. Ostrowska obtained her medical degree from the Medical Academy in Wroclaw, Poland. She completed her postgraduate training in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology at McMaster University. Dr. Ostrowska worked briefly at the Wellesley Hospital in Toronto before taking the position of Medical Microbiologist and Infectious Diseases Specialist at the Mississauga Hospital, now part of Trillium Health Partners. She was also the Director of Infection Control at the Mississauga Hospital. Dr. Ostrowska is a Member of AMMI Canada (Association of Medical Microbiologist and Infectious Diseases Specialists) and American Society of Microbiologists.
