Canadian Cancer Society honours LifeLabs and their employees for their contribution towards the fight against cancer
(Burnaby, BC) February 20, 2017 –LifeLabs is proud to celebrate 20 years of supporting the Canadian Cancer Society with more than $2 million in donations raised through employee generated initiatives including the Relay for Life and associate corporate support. To mark the occasion LifeLabs' employees across the country will participate in a symbolic final relay recognizing their support in this milestone support for cancer research and care for those living with cancer.

It is estimated that every day, 555 Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer and 216 will die from the disease.. Through Relay for Life events across Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society has been able to raise over $496.5 million in donations that goes towards cancer research and providing vital support services for people with cancer and their families. LifeLabs will continue to show support through their new Employee Matching Program, which will match both employee donations and volunteer hours with cash donations.
