TORONTO, ONTARIO / Vancouver, British Columbia (January 14, 2013) – LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services today announced the appointment of Donna Wilson as Vice-President of Human Resources effective Monday, January 28, 2013.
As Vice-President of Human Resources, Ms Wilson will lead LifeLabs’ human resources organization with responsibilities including, employee and labour relations, talent attraction, retention and development, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, and the development of LifeLabs’ Human Resources strategy.
Ms Wilson brings a wealth of distinguished executive leadership experience to her VP, Human Resources role at LifeLabs. Since 2010, Ms Wilson has been the Vice-President, Industry Services and Sustainability at WorkSafeBC responsible for leading five operational areas that include: Investigation Services, Assessments, Industry & Labour Services, Social Responsibility & Sustainability and Business Continuity Management. Prior to joining WorkSafeBC, from 2005 to 2010, Ms Wilson was the Executive Vice-President, Workforce and Sustainability at the Vancouver Olympic Organizing Committee (VANOC). In addition to her responsibilities for hiring and training a large organization of full and part-time employees and some 25,000 volunteers, Donna played a key role in leading the development of VANOC’s organizational culture, strategic direction and project leadership oversight. Throughout her career, Ms Wilson has also held progressively more senior roles at Vancity Credit Union, BC Hydro, Canadian Airlines International and the BC Nurses Union.
Ms Wilson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, is a Chartered Director (C. Dir.) from McMaster University’s Certified Director Program, and has completed the Queen’s University Executive Development Program.

Ms Wilson’s appointment takes effect on Monday January 28, 2013. She will be based in LifeLabs’ Burnaby, BC head office.
