LifeLabs has partnered with the BC Cancer Agency to support the BC Generations project, part of a national study of 300,000 Canadians. Participants will be followed for over 25 years to determine what role lifestyle, environment and genetics play in the development of cancer and other health issues. Results from these studies will be critical to guide future disease prevention programs.
The project is open to BC men and women aged 35-69 and involves completing a questionnaire and visiting a lab to have a blood and urine sample taken.
LifeLabs' role in this important project is to provide specimen collections for the study.
The BCCA needs more volunteers aged 35 to 69 to reach their goal of 40,000 BC participants. Visit www.bcgenerationsproject.ca for more information and to sign up to participate in the project.
